In your Football Betting Data bulletin today:
- Last night's results
- The 2 best bets for tonight's games...
- Don't miss this 3/1 Top Scorer bet...
There are 6 more Premier League games tonight - and I've got the
best bets on 2 of them for you in today's email. Plus a 3/1 shot
that will run all season long...
Before we get started, here's a rundown of last night's results. We
had 3 bets and one winner:
Portsmouth 0 Aston Villa 1
Aston Villa 'Draw No Bet' @ 4/6 - WON
Villa won their 6th away game in a row last night.
Tottenham 3 Stoke 1
Stoke '+1 Asian Handicap' @ 1.84 - LOST
3 early Tottenham goals put pay to our bet here. One goal less and
we would've got our money back.
West Brom 0 Man Utd 5
'Over 11 Corners' @ 5/6 - LOST
There were 9 corners in the game.
After last night's action we've got a profitable 'won 8 lost 3'
record for January. Here are our selections for this evening -
starting with the live game at Upton Park...
West Ham v Hull
Wed 28th Jan, 8pm
Live on Sky Sports 2
Ref: H.Webb
League positions: West Ham 8th - Hull 9th
Match odds: West Ham 4/5 - Draw 13/5 - Hull 4/1
The Goals stats highlight a bet for us in this game...
Goals
As the Head-2-Head comparison on our website shows, West Ham 'at
home' AND Hull 'away' are averaging 3 or more goals per game so far
this season:
|
West Ham - Home
|
Hull - Away
|
|
1.5 Goals For
|
1.6 Goals For
|
|
1.5 Goals Against
|
1.7 Goals Against
|
|
3.0 Total Goals
|
3.3 Total Goals
|
Our data also gives you a clear guide to how many winning 'Over 2.5
Goals' bets both teams have generated...
West Ham - Home Hull - Away
63.6% 'Over 2.5 Goals' 63.6% 'Over 2.5 Goals'
West Ham have played 11 Premier League games at Upton Park and 7 of
them have gone 'Over 2.5 Goals.' The same figure goes for Hull's
away games - 7 out of 11 'Over 2.5 Goals' bets paying out.
|
* KEY DATA:
Hull have been a consistent 'high goals' team, home and away, all
season. 15 of their 22 Premier League games have gone 'Over' - a
68% strike rate.
|
The recent form of both teams also matches up with these Goals
trends...
- West Ham's last 4 games have all been 'Over 2.5 Goals'
- 3 of Hull's last 5 games have been 'Over 2.5 Goals'
- 7 of their Hull's last 10 games have seen 3 or more goals
scored
The bookies offer around 10/11 (1.91) for another 'Over 2.5 Goals'
game tonight. If you'd put that bet on at those odds in every West
Ham home game and every Hull away game this season, you'd be in
profit.
Wigan v Liverpool
Wed 28th Jan, 7.45pm
Ref: P.Dowd
League positions: Wigan 7th - Liverpool 2nd
Match odds: Wigan 4/1 - Draw 5/2 - Liverpool 5/6
The Goals markets look to hold the best bet in this game too...
Goals
The averages point to 'Under 2.5 Goals' here - 54.5% of Wigan's
home games and 63.6% of Liverpool's away games have gone that way
so far this season.
However, only 2 of Wigan's last 5 games at the JJB Stadium have
gone 'Under 2.5 Goals' (3 out of 5 for Liverpool away). But if we
look a different Goals bet, the recent form holds up much better...
- In 4 of Wigan's last 5 home games, the First Goal has come
'After the 27th Minute'
- And in 4 of Liverpool's last 5 away games, the First Goal has
also come 'After the 27th Minute'
|
* KEY DATA:
Our Goals data (see the website) shows that the average 'Time Of
First Goal' in Wigan home games is 37 minutes. And for Liverpool
away games, that figure is 36 minutes. Both those stats are above
the Premier League average. And you can bet 'After 27 Minutes.'
|
For tonight's game, 'Under 2.5 Goals' is available at 4/6 (1.67)
with most bookies, and that's certainly our preferred option in the
'Under' or 'Over' 2.5 Goals market.
But considering both teams' 'Time Of First Goal' figures, 'After
The 27th Minute' at bigger odds of 10/11 (1.91) looks the better
value bet.
And now for a season-long bet on the Premier League Top
Goalscorer...
Back last season's Top Scorer to do it again - at 3/1
Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo netted twice against West Brom last
night, taking his Premier League tally for the season to 10 goals
and shooting him up to 3rd in the 'Top Scorer' chart. Only Robinho
(Man City, 11 goals) and Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea, 14 goals) are
ahead of him...
Last season Ronaldo was the Premier League's Top Scorer with 31
goals. And before he got injured in the summer he was the bookies'
clear favourite to do it again this time around.
Ronaldo is fit and well now, and if he scores again in his next
couple of games the bookies will cut his odds right down. Our
advice is to strike while the iron's hot and back Ronaldo now...
Coral are offering standout odds of 3/1 (4.00) - and that looks
like good value.
