In your Football Betting Data bulletin today:

  • Turning £20 into £200...
  • Last week's results - another winning weekend!
  • This week's football...

We had another profitable set of bets at the weekend...

The snow and sleet played havoc with the lower league fixture list,
but all the Premier League games went ahead as planned. And the
stats came good for us with 2 winners and one 'break even' bet from
the 3 selections in our Friday email.

That keeps up our 70% winning strike rate this year. A big thank
you - and congratulations - to all of you that have emailed in your
winning stories so far.

Here's what Football Betting Data member Jon had to say...

Here are those results from your Friday email...

Last week's results - another winning weekend!

We highlighted the Wigan v Fulham game as a good 'Under 2.5 Goals'
prospect (that was an 8/13 shot) - and plumped for 2 bets based on
both teams' low goals figures. The 'First Goal' never came, but our
winning saver bet on 'No Goals' at 8/1 left us level overall
here...

Wigan 0 Fulham 0

FBD said:

  • 'Time Of The First Goal - After 27th Minute' @ 10/11 (1.91)
with Stan James and Boylesports - (LOST)
  • Also, a saver bet (about an eighth of your main stake) on 'No
Goals' at 8/1 with Stan James, Boylesports and Bet365 - (WON)
  • Overall - LEVEL (break even)

Take a look at the Team Data on our website and you'll see Fulham
have got the lowest away 'goals per game' average
in the Premier
League (0.3 Goals For and 0.8 Goals Against).

Incredibly, 5 of Fulham's last 7 away games have now been drawn 0-0
- a result that paid out at 8/1 at the weekend.

Following our staking advice on the Goal Time markets for this
game, you'll have broken even.

For example, from £10 stakes...

Main bet:
£10 on 'After 27th Minute' @ 10/11 - (lose £10)

Saver bet:
An eighth of your main stake (eg. £1.25) on 'No Goals' at 8/1 -
return £11.25

Total stakes = £11.25
Total returns = £11.25
Profit / Loss = £0.00

There was no need for a saver bet on the Chelsea v Hull game...

Chelsea 0 Hull 0

Chelsea 13 corners, Hull 3 corners.

FBD said:

  • Asian Handicap Corners: 'Chelsea -4' @ 17/20 (1.85) with
    Bet365 - WON

Chelsea have now won the Most Corners in 92% of their home games
(12 out of 13). They got a whopping 10 more corners than Hull on
Saturday, comfortably landing our recommended bet with Bet365.
The other bookies that we said to check with - Paddy Power, Skybet
and Stan James - all went up with a '-4 Corner Handicap' on Chelsea
at Evens (2.00) and bigger. If you bet with any of those firms you
also backed a winner.

This game was a great example of how reliable and 'shock-proof'
betting using the stats can be...

Chelsea were short odds-on at just 1/5 (1.20) to beat Hull (a bet
that would've lost) - but our corners data produced a clear winner.
So although the Match Result was tricky to predict, ending in a
'surprise' draw - the corners data stayed true to form. In fact,
the longer it stayed 0-0, the more Chelsea were pushing forward and
winning corners!

And finally - Wigan's draw with Fulham meant our 2/1 'Draw No Bet'
treble on them, Villa and Liverpool became a winning 5/4 double...

Aston Villa, Liverpool and Wigan

FBD said:

  • A 'Draw No Bet' treble on Aston Villa, Liverpool and Wigan @
    2/1 (3.00) or bigger - WON @ 5/4 (2.25)

Here are the results from those 3 games:

Wigan 0 Fulham 0            Wigan 'Draw No Bet'        - (void)
Blackburn 0 Aston Villa 2  Aston Villa 'Draw No Bet'  - won
Portsmouth 2 Liverpool 3   Liverpool 'Draw No Bet'    - won

Wigan drop out of that treble ('Draw No Bet'), leaving us with a
winning double on Aston Villa (@ around 3/4) and Liverpool (@
around 2/7).

That double paid out at 5/4 (2.25) with Bet365 - and
around the same with other bookies.

Villa have the best away record in the Premier League, and have now
won an impressive 7 away games in a row. Liverpool have still only lost
once all season - they came from 2-1 down to secure a dramatic 3-2
win, with 2 goals in the last 5 minutes at Fratton Park.

There are International Friendly games this week, and FA Cup games
at the weekend, so there won't be a full Premier League fixture
list for us to attack this weekend...

However, there is one game on Saturday - Portsmouth v Man City -
and we'll be looking at the best bets on that one in your Friday
email.

After that it's Man Utd's game in hand against Fulham next
Wednesday (18th Feb), following by a full round of game's on the
weekend of the 21st.

I hope you enjoyed the weekend's winners! Remember you can drop me
a line at: FootballBettingData@oxonpress.com with your winning
stories. It's always good to hear from you.

I'll write to you again on Friday...

Best wishes,
