The FA Cup takes over the top-flight football schedule this
weekend, but there is one Premier League game to look at...

Portsmouth v Manchester City
Sat 14th Feb, 3pm

Portsmouth play Man City on Saturday afternoon. If you take a look
at the 'Head-2-Head' info on our website, you'll get an at-a-glance
guide to the top match-ups, in all the 'stats bets' categories.

The stats highlight 'Over 2.5 Goals' as the best option in the
'Over / Under' market...

66% of Portsmouth's home games have seen 3 or more goals scored,
and 63% of Man City's away games have also gone 'Over 2.5.'

Portsmouth's home games are averaging a total of 3.1 goals per game
- and so are Man City's away games.

Both teams' recent results support these figures...

  • 4 of Portsmouth's last 5 games at Fratton Park have paid out
a winner on 'Over 2.5 Goals' bets

  • 3 of Man City's last 5 away games have produced 'Over 2.5
    Goals' winners

When these teams met at the City of Manchester Stadium earlier this
season it was a 'high goals' affair - with Man City winning 6-0.

Flicking through the history books, 7 of the 11 Premier League
games between Portsmouth and Man City have gone 'Over 2.5 Goals'
over the years. But bear in mind we're going back as far as 2003
there!

If you're having a bet on any market in this game, you'll find the
best odds here:

A word of warning though...

Since Tony Adams was sacked on Monday, Portsmouth are without a
manager. That makes Portsmouth a bit of an 'unknown quantity' at
the moment, so from a betting point of view, we'd recommend keeping
stakes to a minimum.

For our 'FBD bet' this weekend, we're instead looking to the
Tuesday night game at Old Trafford...

And seeing as today is Friday the 13th, it seems a good time to
look at Manchester Utd's incredible run of 13 Premier League 'Clean
Sheets.'

Manchester Utd - 13 'Clean Sheets' and counting...

Man Utd have motored to the top of the Premier League with a run of
13 games without conceding a goal. During that run of 'Clean
Sheets,' they've won 11 games 'To Nil' and drawn 0-0 twice.

'Total football'...

Check out these other standouts stats from Man Utd's 13-game run:

  • 11 games where Man Utd have won at least 3 corners more than
    their opponent

  • 10 out of 13 games 'Under 2.5 Goals'

  • 9 of last 13 games 'Under 35.5 Booking Points' or 'Under 3.5
    Cards'

  • 8 of last 13 games won by a 1-0 'Correct Score' - a bet that
    pays out at around 6/1

I'll email you on Tuesday with a closer look at those betting
options for this game - once the bookies have their full range of
markets up.

However, there does look to be one good bet on offer already...

Manchester Utd v Fulham
Tue 17th Feb, 8pm

Goals

With Man Utd not conceding a goal in their last 13 games, it's been
up to them to do all the goal-scoring. 10 of those 13 games have
paid out on 'Under 2.5 Goals.' And as the Head-2-Head data on our
website shows, that trend is supported by both team's figures for
the season overall...

  • Man Utd - 63.6% of home games 'Under 2.5 Goals'
  • Fulham - 83.3% of away games 'Under 2.5 Goals'

KEY DATA:
Fulham have the lowest away 'goals per game' average in the Premier
League, at 1.1 goals (0.3 For and 0.8 Against).

9 of Fulham's last 10 away games have paid out on 'Under 2.5 Goals'
bets. That includes 5 games with no goals at all, and 3 games with
just the one goal scored.

This early price looks good value...

If you combine the 'Under 2.5 Goals' records of 'Man Utd at home'
and 'Fulham away' this season, you get a strike rate of around 73%.
Represented as odds, a 73% 'chance' is a 4/11-shot (1.36).

And with that in mind, the 9/10 (1.90) on offer right now in
Bet365's 'Goal Line' market looks good value...

FBD says:

  • Goal Line - 'Under 2.5 Goals' @ 9/10 (1.90) with Bet365

Your winning stories

We featured a winning story from Football Betting Data (FBD) member
Jon in Monday's email. And since then, I've had a stack more emails
land in my inbox...

Thanks to all of you that have written in - and keep the stories
coming. Here's what new member Chris had to say...

'Both bets came good ... Absolutely Brilliant'

"Hi Matt,

To cut to the chase, your web site is fantastic, particularly the
head to head section.

Having shown a profit from fridays emailed bets for saturday, I
looked at the web site to see if anything stood out for sunday's
matches...

What caught my attention with Arsenal, was the probability they
would receive the 1st card was the bet at 10/11 and with West Ham /
ManU the amount of corners both teams tended to get, over 12
corners was the bet at 6/5, plus a saver bet of exactly 12 corners
at 15/2.

As you have probably guessed, both bets came good with Arsenal's
player receiving his 2nd yellow shortly afterwards, thus being sent
off, amazing.

Absolutely Brilliant, keep up the good work and Many Thanks"

Chris M, by email

A big well done to FBD member Syd, too - he wrote in to tell me he
returned £550 following our bets on Saturday...

"I got the Liverpool, Wigan, Villa treble ... made £550 return..."

Syd placed our 'Draw No Bet' treble on Liverpool, Wigan and Aston
Villa - and also had himself a winning double on Wigan v Fulham
'Under 2.5 Goals' and Chelsea '-4 Corner Handicap.' Nice work.

I'll write to you again on Tuesday with a look at the other markets
for Man Utd v Fulham...

P.S
Look out for a special email from me at the weekend, with news of
our new Champions League service - there's big money to be made
from Europe's top cup competition!

Have a good weekend,
