Latest results - and news of a 10/1 winner...

From our Friday email we had 3 bets and one winner. The winning bet
came from Arsenal v Fulham, where the Gunners not only kept a
'Clean Sheet' - but also failed to score. Resulting in their fourth
0-0 draw in a row, their third consecutive goalless home game...
and a 10/1 winner for one FBD member.

Arsenal 0 Fulham 0

  • 'Arsenal To Keep A Clean Sheet' @ 5/6 - WON

'Shock-proof' stats...

Arsenal have drawn their last 3 games at the Emirates Stadium, 0-0.
In all 3 of those games - against West Ham, Sunderland and Fulham -
Arsenal have been short odds-on to win (and failed to do so).

But in all 3 games we've used the stats to pick out winning bets...

Arsenal '-3 Corner Handicap' @ 5/6 v West Ham - WON
Arsenal '-3 Corner Handicap' @ Evens v Sunderland - WON
'Arsenal To Keep A Clean Sheet' @ 5/6 v Fulham - WON

Incidentally, backing Arsenal on the 'Corner Handicap' would've
been a route to profit again on Saturday - they won 11 corners and
Fulham won 6. The point being: when Arsenal need goals, they tend
to win a lot corners - especially at home.

News of a 10/1 winner...

We also flagged up 'Under 2.5 Goals' for Saturday's game (paid out
at 17/20) - and mentioned that the 12/1 on offer at Coral for 'No
Goalscorer'
looked like "a pretty big price" considering both
teams' recent scoring form...

Well done, then, to FBD member 'D.E from Portsmouth' who emailed me
on Monday morning to say he won £300 from backing the 0-0 correct
score...

"What a fantastic outcome arsenal v fulham ... main part of the bet
on the 0---0 score at 10/1 gaining £300 - this to me becomes good
value betting through its accelerated odds yours thankfully"

Everton 2 West Brom 0

First Card: M.Fellaini, Everton (54 mins)

FBD said:

  • West Brom to be the 'First Carded Team' @ 4/6 - LOST

Everton had the lowest home 'First Card' record in the Premier
League going into this game. And would you believe it, a player we
mentioned in Friday's email - Everton's Marouanne Fellaini - was
first in the Referee's book. Everton are often a good team for a
'low Bookings' game - but Fellaini is the most booked player in the
Premier League this season.

West Brom made twice as many fouls as Everton in that game - 18
fouls to 9 - yet it was the home team that picked up the 'First
Card.' And the honours were even on the match total (one yellow
card each).

Aston Villa 2 Stoke 2

Corners: Villa 6 Stoke 6

FBD said:

  • Aston Villa '-2 Corner Handicap' @ Evens - LOST

Villa were leading 2-0 here until Stoke rescued a draw with 2 goals
in the last 5 minutes of the game...

Stoke's second-half comeback didn't just cost Villa 3 points - it
cost us our 'Corner Handicap' bet, too. Villa led 4-1 on corners at
half time - but it ended up 6-6.

Your next bets - games today and tomorrow!

The FA Cup takes over the football schedule at the weekend. But
there's a full Premier League fixture list midweek with 3 games
TONIGHT
(Tuesday) and 7 games on Wednesday...

Tonight's games:

Portsmouth v Chelsea, 7.45pm.

West Brom v Arsenal, 7.45pm.

Liverpool v Sunderland, 8pm (live on Sky Sports 2).

Look out for another email from me THIS AFTERNOON - with our bets
for tonight. And I'll write to you again ahead of Wednesday's
games, too.

Back soon,

Matt Nesbitt
