  • The Premier League title race is back on...
  • 3 teams that could decide the title...
  • Last week's results - and next week's fixtures
  • Profit from 30 games' worth of form

What a weekend in the Premier League...

Fulham blew the title race wide open with a shock 2-0 win over
reigning champs Man Utd - and Liverpool closed the gap at the top
to just 1 point with an emphatic 5-0 win against Aston Villa. There
was also a minor shock at Fratton Park, where relegation-threatened
Portsmouth came from a goal down to beat 6th-placed Everton.

Every team has 9 or less games to play now, and with the pressure
on at both ends of the table - expect plenty more 'shock' wins,
comebacks, red cards and 'crazy' Correct Scores...

For example, Fulham were 7/1 to win at home on Saturday - and 25/1
to win 2-0. And that Liverpool 5-0 'Correct Score' was a 40/1 shot.

Profit from 30 games' worth of form

While picking 'Match Results' may be tricky on the final run-in,
we're expecting plenty of solid 'stats trends' to come to the fore
- with 29 or 30 games' worth of form in the book for every team,
there really are some solid Bookings, Corners and Goals figures to
bet from. We'll be pointing out the best of them in your emails
before every round of games.

And it's not just team form we're looking at. The Goalscorer data
on our website tells you which players score most often, home and
away (a good way to find 'big odds' bets such as 'First
Goalscorer'). And we keep track of all the Referee stats too...

Mark Halsey is worth a special mention here - he has the lowest
'cards per game' average in the Premier League, at just 1.47. And
from a betting point of view - 89% of the games he has refereed
have paid out on 'Under 3.5 Cards' bets. That's 17 'low' games out
of 19. Incredible.

The Premier League title race is back on!

Bookmaker Paddy Power paid out on Man Utd winning the Premier
League a few weeks ago. But after the last two weekend's results -
where Man Utd have lost twice and Liverpool have won twice - it
looks like there's life in the title race yet...

Man Utd are still the odds-on favourites to win, but their price
has drifted from 1/16 to 4/11. And Liverpool have been cut from
10/1 to 11/4.

The 4 goals that Liverpool scored past Man Utd last week - followed
by 5 against Aston Villa yesterday - have given them superior 'Goal

Both Man Utd and Liverpool have still got to play Arsenal and
Tottenham at home, and Hull away. So those 3 teams could all have a
big effect on the title race...

Arsenal have already beaten Man Utd and drawn with Liverpool this
season. Hull have drawn with Liverpool and went down 4-3 at Man
Utd. And Tottenham have drawn with Man Utd and beaten Liverpool.

No matter which team you support - the weekend's results have
certainly made the title race a lot more interesting! And with all
to play for in every game, we can expect those teams to be giving
their all - which is good news for any bets you have riding on the
outcome.

Last week's results - and next week's fixtures

Unfortunately we were on the receiving end of some 'shock' results
at the weekend. See below for the game-by-game results. The Premier
League takes a break for International games this weekend - and
returns on 4th April. We will of course be looking to get right
back to winning ways with our highlighted stats bets for those
games.

Portsmouth 2 Everton 1

FBD said:
Everton '0 Asian Handicap' @ 1.94 - LOST
Time Of First Goal - '28 Mins Or More' @ Evens - LOST
'Under 3.5 Cards' @ 8/13 - WON

After losing 4 of their last 5 home games, Portsmouth pulled a 2-1
win out of the hat against Everton. And to make matters worse,
Everton's goal came in just the 3rd minute of the game. That's the
first time an 'early goal' has been scored in the last 11 Everton
away games. The Booking Points stats came good though - there were
3 yellow cards, paying out a winner on all 'Under 3.5 Cards' and
'Under 35 Booking Points' bets.

West Brom 1 Bolton 1

FBD said:
'Goal Line - Over 2.5' @ 11/10 - LOST

West Brom had 10 shots in this game - but none of them were On
Target (Bolton had 14 - and 8 On Target). West Brom eventually got
on the score-sheet through an 'own goal' from Bolton's Danny
Shittu.

Newcastle 1 Arsenal 3

FBD said:
Arsenal '-1.5 Corner Handicap' @ 4/5 - LOST

Newcastle bucked the season-long stats and the recent form of both
teams here, winning 4 more corners than Arsenal (8-4).

Wigan 1 Hull 0

FBD said:
"Look to back Wigan '-1' or '-2' Corner Handicap" - Bet not
available

The bookies didn't offer much value on this game - the only
available 'Corner Handicaps' were a high-looking '-3'. As it turned
out, Wigan won just 1 corner more than Hull (5-4).

Our website is up-to-date with all the latest stats for every
Premier League team. The next round of games is on 4th April - but
I'll write to you before then with an early look at the fixture
list...
