There are more World Cup Qualifiers this week, but there's not long
to wait until the Premier League kicks off again...

On Saturday there are 8 games, followed by 2 more on Sunday. And 4
of them are live on TV. We'll be looking at all the team news,
stats and bookies' markets this week - and I'll write to you with
our bets for the weekend on Friday.

Top Premier League Stats 2008/9 - continued...

For today, we're continuing our round-up of the 'Top Premier League
Stats' so far this season. Last Friday we looked at Match Results
and Correct Scores - and today we've got the top 'Under and Over'
trends in the Goals, Corners and Booking Points categories. Plus
Referee and Top Scorer stats!

Profit from these 93% 'Over and Under' trends...

GOALS:

Premier League average: 
51.2% Under 2.5 Goals / 48.8% Over 2.5 Goals.

Man Utd and Chelsea don't need to score bagfuls of goals to get
away results. They have the lowest away 'Goals Against' figures in
the Premier League - just 9 away goals conceded in 15 away games
respectively.

Middlesbrough on the other hand have scored less home goals than
any other team (13 'Goals For' in 15 home games) - and have the
highest home 'Under 2.5 Goals' record in the Premier League (73%).

Stoke have the highest 'Over or Under' goals stat overall - 80% of
their away games have paid out 'Over 2.5 Goals' bets, with the
majority of goals being scored by their opponents. Stoke haven't
won a single away game and have the highest away 'Goals Against'
figure in the division - 34 goals conceded in 15 away games.

CORNERS:

Premier League average: 
44.8% Under 10.5 Corners / 55.2% Over 10.5 Corners.

• Aston Villa 73.3% Over 10.5 Corners home AND away.

The strongest trends come at 'home' here - with Arsenal and West
Ham's 80% 'Over 10.5 Corners' stats clearly the highest. It's also
worth noting that Aston Villa have been a reliable team - both home
AND away - for 'Over 10.5 Corners' bets (73% of all games).

MOST CORNERS:

The Premier League's 'Big 4' teams all have strong 'Most Corners'
stats at home - with Chelsea the pick of the bunch, winning the
most corners in 14 out of 15 games at Stamford Bridge so far (93%).
Hull and Middlesbrough have only won the most corners once in 15
away games each (6.7%).

BOOKING POINTS:

Premier League average: 
57.2% Under 35.5 Bookings Points / 42.8% Over 35.5 Booking Points.

• Also - Arsenal First Card in 73.3% away games.

Fulham are the star of the show when it comes to 'Booking Points'
bets. An incredible 14 out of 15 away games (93%) have paid out on
'Under 35.5 Booking Points' and 'Under 3.5 Cards' bets so far this
season. They have the best 'Under' averages both home and away.

Blackburn have got the 'First Card' in the highest percentage of
games - 80% away. But it's also worth keeping an eye on Arsenal
(73% away), as you'll often get better value odds on Arsenal
getting the 'First Card'...

For example, while Blackburn would be odds-on at around 4/6 (1.67)
to get the 'First Card' away at Newcastle, Arsenal were 13/10
(2.30) to do the same earlier this month (a bet that would've won).

Highs and lows - Referee stats...

REFEREES:

Lowest cards per game average:

Mark Halsey       19 games    26 yellows  2 reds

• 89% of games 'Under 35.5 Booking Points' and 'Under 3.5
  Cards'

Mark Halsey has been a consistently 'low' Referee all season - with
17 of the 19 Premier League games (89%) that he's taken charge of
paying out on 'Under 35.5 Booking Points' and 'Under 3.5 Cards'
bets.

Highest cards per game average:

Mike Riley        17 games    75 yellows  4 reds

• 65% of games 'Over 35.5 Booking Points' and 'Over 3.5 Cards'

Mike Riley has the highest 'cards per game' average - and 11 of the
17 games that he's refereed (65%) have gone 'Over 35.5 Booking
Points' and 'Over 3.5 Cards.'

Going for goals...

TOP 5 GOALSCORERS:

With Nicolas Anelka (best price 9/4) out injured, Steven Gerrard
(4/1) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2/1) have the chance to catch him up
over the next couple of weeks.

Bookies are only offering 'Each Way' terms of '2 places' at 1/3 of
the odds now (4 places were available at the start of the season).
But if you think any of the other top scorers will make it into the
top 2 between now and the end of the season, Robinho is 20/1 and
Peter Crouch is 40/1 (Skybet).

Next bets on Friday...
