4 more wins for the Big 4 - and more trouble for
Newcastle...

The Premier League's 'Big 4' teams all won - for the second week
running - at the weekend. Man Utd's 2-0 win at Middlesbrough keeps
them 3 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand,
while Liverpool are playing catch-up in 2nd place. Chelsea beat
Fulham 3-1 and Arsenal won 3-0 at Portsmouth.

Liverpool's 3-0 win over Newcastle puts Alan Shearer's black and
white army deep in relegation trouble...

  • Since Shearer took over as Newcastle boss, they've played 5
games and scored just 1 goal - drawing 2 games and losing 3

The Geordies are 18th in the table and 3 points off the 'safe zone'
with 3 games still to play. The bookies make Newcastle 4/9 to go
down and 15/8 to 'Stay Up.' Check out all the latest Premier League
odds here.

Last week's results - Spurs make it 6 in a row

The stats highlighted a stack of opportunities for us last week,
with no fewer than 9 recommended bets in your FBD emails on Monday
and Friday. Over half of those selections won, making it a
profitable week
overall.

The pick of the bunch at the weekend was Tottenham's 'Clean Sheet'
against West Brom. That bet was available at 11/8 - giving almost 3
times more profit than 'just' backing Spurs to win at 1/2.

Newcastle 0 Portsmouth 0 (last Monday)

FBD said:
Newcastle and Portsmouth to 'Draw' @ 5/2 - WON
Portsmouth to get the 'First Card'  @ 8/11 - LOST

Newcastle have drawn 13 games this season - more than any other
Premier League team.

Middlesbrough 0 Man Utd 2

FBD said:
'Winning Margin - Man Utd by Exactly 1 Goal' @ 5/2 - LOST
'Under 2.5 Goals' @ 37/40 - WON

Over 70% of Middlesbrough home games and Man Utd away games have
paid out on Under 2.5 Goals bets this season.

Chelsea 3 Fulham 1

FBD said:
'Asian Total Cards - Under 3' @ 33/40 - WON
'Under 2.5 Goals' @ 9/10 - LOST

The 'low Goals' stats went out the window early on here, with
Chelsea 2-1 up after just 10 minutes. The Bookings stats delivered
though - Referee Alan Wiley showed just 1 yellow card, and that
wasn't until the last minute of the game. The 'Under' Cards and
Booking Points bets we highlighted with Bet365 and Paddy Power both
won.

Man City 3 Blackburn 1

FBD said:
'Over 2.5 Goals' @ 9/10 - WON

No Premier League team have conceded more away goals than Blackburn
this season. They've let in 35 goals on their travels, an average
of 1.9 Goals Against per game.

Tottenham 1 West Brom 0
FBD said:
Tottenham to keep a 'Clean Sheet' @ 11/8 - WON

Spurs have now gone 6 games in a row at White Hart Lane without
conceding a goal - and have won their last 5 home games 'To Nil.'
Odds of 11/8 for the Clean Sheet were good value here.

Sunderland 0 Everton 2

FBD said:
Everton to get the 'First Card' @ 6/5 - LOST

Sunderland had only got the First Card in 1 of their 10 previous
games at the Stadium of Light - but defender Calum Davenport went
in the Referee's book after 31 minutes on Sunday afternoon. As it
turned out, Everton went on to get the most Booking Points in the
game, with a flurry of yellow cards in the 2nd Half (Sunderland 30
pts, Everton 40 pts).

  • Overall - 5 winners from 9 highlighted bets last week (that's
just over 25% profit from level stakes).

All to play for in the Premier League...

There's still all to play for at both ends of the Premier League
table, with every team having good reason to get points on the
board before their summer holidays...

Any of the bottom 9 teams can still mathematically be relegated -
while the 11 teams above them have all got UEFA Cup and Champions
League
places to play for. Not forgetting the small matter of the
Premier league title, with Liverpool (and Chelsea) still able to
catch reigning champs Man Utd.

10 more games this weekend...

There are 10 more games this weekend and some key clashes in the
relegation and title battles.

Standout fixtures include the derby between Man Utd and Man City,
Arsenal v Chelsea
and the 'relegation 6-pointer' between North-East
rivals Newcastle and Middlesbrough...

I'll write to you on Friday with all the top stats for the
weekend's games.

Until then - enjoy the Champions League semi finals!

Best wishes,

Matt Nesbitt
