4 out of 6 winners in the last week
Tue 26 May 2009
In your FBD update today:
- 4 out of 6 winners in the last week...
- FBD members pick 7 out of 10 correct results...
- Winning stories - 'Profit of £263'...
- A season of stats - and it's not over yet...
The Premier League season came to an end on Sunday. Going into the
final day any two of Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Hull and Sunderland
could've been relegated, but all four lost - meaning the bottom of
the table stayed the same...
·
Newcastle and Middlesbrough are both relegated to the
Championship, along with West Brom.
·
Taking their place in the top flight next season will be
Wolves, Birmingham and Burnley.
Results from the last week - 4 out of 6 winners
In Friday's bumper 'end of season special' email I went through the
standout stats for all 10 games, highlighting the 5 best stats
match-ups as 'FBD says' bets - and 3 of those paid out as winners.
Following on from the 'First Goal Time' stats at Portsmouth last
Monday, that gives us 4 out of 6 winners in the last week. A
profitable end to the season...
Portsmouth 3 Sunderland 1 (last Monday)
Time of First Goal = 59 mins
FBD said:
- 'Time of First Goal - 27th Minute Or Later' @ Evens (with a
saver bet on 'No Goalscorer' @ 8/1) - WON
All the goals came in the second half of Portsmouth's last home
game of the season, with the First Goal not coming until the 59th
minute.
And now for Sunday's results...
Man City 1 Bolton 0
Total Corners = 23
FBD said:
- 'Asian Total Corners - Over 11.5' @ 9/10 - WON
The stats pointed to a 'high' corner total here - but not this
high! There were a whopping 23 corners in this game, one of the
highest totals of the season, and the 'Over 11.5' bet was settled
by half time.
Aston Villa 1 Newcastle 0
Total Corners = 8
FBD said:
- 'Over 11.5 Corners' @ 5/6 - LOST
Newcastle were desperate to score the goal that could've kept them
in the Premier League, but Villa kept them at bay. In fact, Villa
had the most possession, the most shots and won the most corners -
with the total corner count coming in at 8 (5-3).
Blackburn 0 West Brom 0
FBD said:
- Blackburn to beat West Brom @ 17/20 - LOST
West Brom were already relegated and finished with the worst away
record in the Premier League, but they held out for a draw on the
final day.
Sunderland 2 Chelsea 3
Total Booking Points = 20 pts
Total Cards = 2 yellows
FBD said:
- 'Total Bookings - Under 25 Points' @ 10/11 - WON
The Premier League's 'lowest' Referee didn't disappoint on the last
day of the season. Mark Halsey showed just 2 yellow cards, landing
bets on 'Under 20 Bookings Points' and 'Under 2.5 Cards' - and
taking his average for the season to just 1.44 'Cards per game'.
Liverpool 3 Tottenham 1
FBD said:
- 'Over 2.5 Goals' @ 8/11 - WON
Liverpool finished the season in great goal-scoring form - hitting
the net at least twice in all of their last 8 games. That result
means 4 of the last 5 games between Liverpool and Tottenham have
gone 'Over 2.5 Goals.'
FBD members pick 7 out of 10 correct results...

Winning stories...
Congratulations to FBD members Brian.A and Jeffrey.F - who both got
7 out of 10 match results from that list...
Brian had Chelsea and Wigan to win. And Jeffrey had the same as
above, but with Chelsea to win at Sunderland.
Jeffrey says he's "Looking forward to the 2009/10 season already"!
Thanks for all your emails and winning stories over the last
fortnight. Many of you mixed and matched the 'Perfect 10'
selections to land winning doubles, trebles and accumulators...
'Profit of £263'...
"Thanks for the tips at the weekend. I placed bets on all 10 as
suggested but chose 8 fold and 4 fold bets ... Happy to say I got a
profit of £263.21.
Ian.L
'Made me a considerable amount of money'...
"To date your advice has made me a considerable amount of money;

FA Cup Final this weekend
The Premier League season may be done and dusted, but there's one
big match left on the English football calendar this month - the FA
Cup Final.
Chelsea take on Everton at Wembley on Saturday, and seeing as it's
an 'all-Premier League' encounter, I'll be taking a look at the
Head-2-Head stats for the big match in Friday's email...
Until then,
Best wishes,
