Full house! Four bets and four winners
Tuesday 1st September.
In your FBD update today:
- Four bets and four winners!
- £145 winning double - share your winning story
- Premier League, World Cup and Champions League news...
What a weekend! We had a full house of winners...
On Friday I sent you our first 'FBD says' bets of the season - and
ALL FOUR of our recommendations came good.
The stats helped us 'enhance' the odds on Chelsea to beat Burnley,
cash-in on Stoke's rock solid home form and profit from Bookings
Points bets on both Arsenal and Fulham.
Four bets and four winners...
Here are those results in full.
Chelsea 3 Burnley 0
Corners = Chelsea 10 Burnley 1.
FBD said:
- DOUBLE: Chelsea to beat Burnley AND Chelsea '-4.5 Asian
Handicap Corners' @ approx. 6/5 (2.20) with Bet365 - WON
Or
- DOUBLE: Chelsea to beat Burnley and Chelsea '-4 Corner
Handicap' @ approx. 11/10 (2.10) with Stan James - WON
A winning Double...
Chelsea were just 1/7 to beat Premier League newcomers Burnley on
Saturday. My advice was to enhance your odds on the Blues, using
their Corners stats, by doubling-up the home win with Chelsea on
the 'Corner Handicap' - a plan that worked out perfectly. Chelsea
won the game 3-0, and dominated the corner count 10-1.
Aston Villa 2 Fulham 0
Bookings Points = Villa 10 pts, Fulham 20 pts.
Cards = Villa 1 yellow, Fulham 2 yellows.
FBD said:
- Fulham to get the 'Most Booking Points' @ Evens (2.00) with
William Hill or 10/11 (1.91) with Skybet - WON
Villa's home trends continue...
The stats pointed to the away team getting the most Bookings here.
Villa only got the most Bookings Points in one of their 19 home
games last season.
- I also mentioned Villa and Fulham's 'low Bookings' records in
Friday's email. There wasn't much value on offer with the bookies
in that department for Sunday's game. But the 'low' trend did
continue, with 'Under 3.5 Cards' paying out at 4/7 with Bet365. The
other Bet365 'Under 3 Asian Total Cards' bet I mentioned was void
with stakes returned - with the result hitting exactly '3 Cards.'
Stoke 1 Sunderland 0
Time of First Goal = 43 mins (D.Kitson, Stoke).
FBD said:
- 'Time of First Goal - 27 Mins or More' @ Evens (2.00) with
Totesport - WON
Or
- 'Time of First Goal - After 27th Minute' @ Evens (2.00) with
Stan James - WON
Perfect timing...
Our Goal Time stats from last season showed the average First Goal
Time at Stoke was 50 minutes, and Sunderland's away figure was 41
minutes. Saturday's game stayed true to form, with the only goal of
the game coming for Stoke in the 43rd minute.
Man Utd 2 Arsenal 1
Booking Points = Man Utd 30 pts, Arsenal 60 pts.
Cards = Man Utd 3 yellows, Arsenal 6 yellows.
FBD said:
- Arsenal to win the 'Booking Points Match Bet' @ 5/6 (1.83)
with Blue Square and 888 Sports or Arsenal to get the 'Most Booking
Points' at 4/5 (1.80) with Skybet - WON
Arsenal make it 5 out of 6...
Referee Mike Dean showed a whopping 9 yellow cards in Saturday's
big match - and 6 of them went to Arsenal players. In 5 of the last
6 meetings in all competitions between these fierce rivals, Arsenal
have now got the Most Booking Points.
A winning start to the season
It's very early days in the season, but four out of four winners
was a great way to get our 2009/10 campaign up and running and in
profit...
As the season progresses the stats and form trends will only get
stronger - and I'll be writing to you before every round of games
with our top selections.
And don't forget to use the Team Data and Head-2-Head info on the
FBD website to match up any two Premier League teams and find the
best bets on any game.

Share YOUR winning story...
I've already had emails in from members celebrating this morning -
a special mention goes to FBD member Tony, who emailed me to say he
bagged £145 from a £25 double on the Chelsea v Burnley game. Well
done, Tony!

Next games 12th September
The Premier League takes a short break for the World Cup Qualifiers
this week. The next round of Premier League games get underway on
the weekend of 12th September.
Between now and then I'll be compiling all the early season form
and identifying the teams and trends to watch out for over the
coming weeks. I'll write to you again before next weekend's games
with our next set of recommended bets - and I'll also be in touch
later this week with some exciting news on this season's Champions
League...
I hope you enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend - four out of four
winners gave us a great start to the season!
Best wishes,
Matt Nesbitt
