Friday 6th November

In your FBD weekend preview today:

  • Wednesday's winner!
  • Your bets for the weekend...
  • Boost your profits at 4/1...

The weekend is here again and there are 10 Premier League games to
cash-in on, including the big one at Stamford Bridge...

It's first plays second - Chelsea v Man Utd - live on Sky Sports on
Sunday afternoon. Read on for my match preview and a look at the
standout stats.

Wednesday's winner

We've already had one winner this week - West Ham and Aston Villa
played out their 'game in hand' on Wednesday night, with the Hammers
winning 2-1 to get their first home win of the season. The stats
highlighted a bet on the Corners...

West Ham 2 Aston Villa 1.
Total Corners = 20.

FBD said:

  • Over 11.5 Corners @ 10/11 - WON

There were a whopping 20 corner kicks in the game, comfortably
landing any and all 'Over' bets on this game.

  • Corner crazy... It's not often a game hits the 20-corner mark.
But West Ham and Villa did the same thing last season - there were
23 corners in the game at Villa Park!

Now for this weekend's bets - and we want more of the same from
Villa...

Aston Villa v Bolton

Sat 7th Nov, 3pm
Ref: C.Foy

Two of the Premier League's top 'high Corners' teams go head-to-head
here.

There have been at least 12 corners in 4 out of 5 Villa home games
and in all 4 of Bolton's away games this season.

  • Games at Villa Park are averaging 12.4 Total Corners

  • Bolton away games are averaging 13.8 Total Corners

Bets on Over 10.5 Corners - the line we use on our website - have
paid out in the majority of both teams' games, home and away.

  • 73% of Villa's league games have gone Over 10.5 Corners so far
this season - and 73% of all games also went Over 10.5 last season

  • 80% of Bolton games have gone Over 10.5 Corners so far in
2009/10. Last season 73% of their away games also went 'Over'

  • There were 13 corners in the Villa v Bolton game last season

This game isn't live on TV but several bookies will be offering
Total Corners bets - check with Bet365, William Hill, Coral,
Partybets and Expekt.

Some of those bookies will set their line as 'high' as Over 12
Corners
. But the stats say Villa and Bolton can cover that...

There were 15 corners in Villa's last home game and 20 in their game
at West Ham in the week. There were 15 corners in Bolton's last away
game and 17 in their game against Chelsea last week.

FBD says:

  • 'Over 12 Corners' @ 5/4 (2.25) with William Hill or 11/10
    (2.10) with Coral

That bet wins if there are 13 or more corners in the game.

Arsenal are top of the Premier League's 'Form Guide' table, having
won 5 of their last 6 games. Wolves on the other hand are second-
bottom on recent form - they've won just 1 of their last 6.

  • A look at the history books shows Wolves haven't beaten the
Gunners for 30 years. Since the turn of the century they've met 4
times (twice in the Premier League), and each time Arsenal have won
    by at least 2 goals.

The bookies make Arsenal just 2/5 (1.40) to win at Wolves this
weekend. However there's another bet based on 'Arsenal to win'
available at more appealing odds...

  • Arsenal have won 7 games this season - 6 of them by more than
    one goal

  • Wolves have lost 5 times this season - in 3 of those games
they've been beaten by 2 goals or more

A bet on Arsenal '-1.5 Asian Handicap' or 'Handicap Result -1' will
double your money if Arsenal beat Wolves by more than 1 goal (2-0,
3-0, 3-1 etc).

FBD says:

  • Arsenal ‘-1 Handicap’ to beat Wolves @ 11/10 (2.10) with Stan
James, Skybet, Betfred, Blue Square and 888 Sport

Tottenham v Sunderland

Sat 7th Nov, 3pm
Ref: K.Friend

Tottenham have been one of the most profitable teams to follow so
far this season. Check out this 'top trend' - bets on Over 2.5 Goals
have paid out a winner in 10 out of 11 games. That's a 91% strike
rate.

And the good news is Sunderland's stats match-up well for another
Over 2.5 Goals bet this weekend...

  • At least 3 goals have been scored in 73% of Sunderland games -
    8 out of 11

Both teams' games are averaging 3+ total goals per game:

  • Tottenham - Total Goals average 3.4 per game

  • Sunderland - Total Goals average 3.3 per game

There were 3 goals in this fixture last season (2-1 to Sunderland),
and going on the current 2009/10 form, we can expect goals to flow
again this weekend.

Over 2.5 Goals bets are available with most bookies at 4/6 and
bigger.

FBD says:

  • 'Over 2.5 Goals' @ 7/10 (1.70) with Bet365 or Betfair

This bet is also available at 4/6 (1.67) with most bookies. Check

Hull v Stoke

This is a huge game for Hull. They're second-bottom of the Premier
League and have only won 2 of their last 10 games in all
competitions. The pressure is on boss Phil Brown - he's the bookies'
favourite to be the next manager to lose his job

Things are looking much better for Stoke, who are in the top half of
the table. They've only lost 1 away game so far - drawing twice and
winning once.

The Head-2-Head on our website shows both teams' games are averaging
Under 2.5 Goals this season. The bookies make that option odds-on at
around 8/11. The 'low Goals' stats also point the way to bets in the
Half Time and Time of First Goal markets...

  • The Half Time score has been 0-0 in 4 out of 5 Hull home games

  • The Half Time score has also been 0-0 in 4 out of 5 Stoke away
    games so far

Between them - Hull at home and Stoke away - they have only scored 1
goal in the First Half of those 10 games.

It's no surprise then that the average First Goal Time for both
teams' games is past the half-way mark:

  • Hull home average First Goal Time = 52 mins

  • Stoke away average First Goal Time = 48 mins

Bookies offer Time of First Goal bets 'Before' and 'After' around
the half-hour mark.

At Blue Square and 888 Sport the '30th Minute or After' bet includes
the 0-0 draw. That option would've paid out a winner in 4 out of 5
Hull home games and 4 out of 5 Stoke away games this season.

FBD says:

  • Time of First Goal - 30th Minute or After (includes 0-0 draw)
    @ 5/6 (1.83) with Blue Square and 888 Sport

That bet wins if the First Goal is scored in the 30th minute of the
game or later, or if the final score is 0-0.

Also available...

Time of First Goal 'After' bets with other bookies don't include the
0-0 draw. But you can cover the same outcomes by splitting your
stake. For example, place 85% of your normal stake on 'After 28th
Minute' @ Evens
. And place the other 15% on 'No Goals' @ 8/1. Those
options are available with Bet365.

And last but not least - the big one at Stamford Bridge...

It's not often you'll see Man Utd at 3/1 to win a Premier League
game. However this weekend they're away to the league leaders,
Chelsea - who have won 5 out of 5 home games so far this season and
haven't lost at home to United since 2002.

The match result looks tough to call - but the Booking Points stats
highlight a strong match-up...

Chelsea have got exceptionally low Booking Points figures so far
this season. At home they are averaging just 4.0 Points For, with
14.0 Points Against.

All 5 games at Stamford Bridge have gone Under 35.5 Points and Under
3.5 Cards, thanks mainly to Chelsea - the Blues have only picked up
2 yellow cards in total out of 5 games.

  • Chelsea haven't got the Most Bookings in any of their 5 home
games - and in only 1 out of 10 league games overall

  • A Chelsea player has only got the First Card in 2 of their 10
    games

Man Utd have much higher Booking Points averages than Chelsea this
season. United's away stats are 28.0 Points For and 25.0 Points
Against
. Out of 5 away games, United's opponents have only got the
Most Booking Points once (Burnley).

  • This fixture finished in a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge last
season - Chelsea got 1 yellow card and Man Utd got 7 yellow cards,
    including the First Card.

Man Utd are 5/6 to get the Most Bookings and 8/11 to get the First
Card on Sunday.

FBD says:

  • Man Utd to get the 'Most Booking Points' @ 5/6 (1.83) with
William Hill, Blue Square and 888 Sport

Booking Points explained:

red).

Boost your profits this weekend...

You can boost your profits this weekend by combining some of our
'top trends' in multiple bets. A bet on these 3 selections to all

Arsenal to beat Wolves
Arsenal are top of the Premier League 'Form Guide' table - Wolves
are second-bottom.

Aston Villa v Bolton - Over 12 Corners
Both teams' games are averaging more than 12 total corners this
season.

Tottenham v Sunderland - Over 2 Total Goals
There have been 3 or more goals scored in 91% of Spurs games and 73%
of Sunderland games.
