The Premier League is on hold for World Cup Qualifying play-offs and
International Friendly matches this weekend – so no ‘recommended bets’
from me today. However…

The short break gives us a good chance to look at all the data for the
season so far. I’ll be in touch next week with an updated version of
our ‘Top Trends’ report, letting you know the bets that are paying out
most often for each Premier League team so far.

When the Premier League returns next weekend it’s the start of a busy
run of games – with fixtures every week right up to Christmas and the
New Year - giving us hundreds of opportunities to cash-in on the
stats.

I’ve got a ‘free gift’ for you today, too…

First up though, a look at the England game this weekend. Some of
Fabio Capello’s big guns – Gerrard and Lampard to name just two – are
missing through injury. But lately it seems the goals have been
flowing in England games, no matter who’s on the team-sheet…

Brazil v England

Sat 14th Nov, 5pm
Live on ITV1

International Friendly. Khalifa International Stadium, Doha, Qatar.

Here are the standout stats for this one…

  • England haven’t beat Brazil since 1990 – when they won 1-0 at
the ‘old’ Wembley in a Friendly. Since then the teams have met 7 times
    – and in 6 of those games, both teams have scored

  • There were goals galore in England’s World Cup 2010
Qualification games – 40 goals in 10 games – an average of 4.0 per
    game

  • 8 of England’s last 10 games have gone Over 2.5 Goals

  • There were 44 total goals in Brazil’s 18 Qualification games, an
average of 2.44 per game. Bets on Over 2.5 Goals would’ve paid out a
winner in 7 of Brazil’s last 10 games.

Prices on offer at the bookies this weekend…

Brazil to win 6/5.
Draw  5/2.
England to win 5/2.

Both Teams To Score 8/11.

Over 2.5 Goals 11/10.

And here’s a way to get potentially bigger payouts from your football
