Manchester clubs keep up 93% records

Monday 7th December 2009.

In your Football Betting Data bulletin today:

  • City shock Chelsea...
  • 4 missed Penalties at the weekend...
  • Manchester clubs keep up 93%+ records...

Man Utd cut Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League to just
2 points at the weekend - thanks to a favour from their cross-city
rivals...

City shock Chelsea

Man City came from a goal down to beat Chelsea 2-1 on Saturday
night. Before the match Chelsea were odds-on to win and the home win
was a 7/2-shot. City are 6th in the table - 11 points behind Chelsea
- but have only lost 1 game all season, less than any other Premier
League team.

  • The Match Result may have been a bit of a surprise in that
one, but our Corners stats produced a winning bet for us ('Over 11
    Corners'
    - and there were 15).

4 missed Penalties at the weekend

It would be funny - if one of them hadn't cost us a winning bet.
There were 4 missed Penalties in the Premier League at the
weekend...

Jermain Defoe for Spurs in their 2-2 draw at Everton, Cesc Fabregas
for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Stoke, Frank Lampard for Chelsea
and Aruna Dindane for Portsmouth against Burnley.

Pompey beat Burley 2-0 - if Dindane had scored his 1st Half Penalty
we could've been looking at an 'Over 2.5 Goals' winner there.

Overall it was a 50/50 week for us from the recommended 'FBD says'
bets in my Friday email - 2 winners and 2 losers. Here are the full
results.

Manchester clubs keep up their 93%+ records

Portsmouth 2 Burnley 0

  • FBD said: Over 2.5 Goals @ 10/11 - LOST

West Ham 0 Man Utd 4

  • FBD said: Man Utd -3 Corner Handicap @ 13/10 or Evens - WON

A dominant away performance for Man Utd here - a 4-0 win, and 8-2
winners on the corner count. Man Utd have now won the Most Corners
in 7 out of 8 away games and in 93% of all Premier League games this
season.

Wigan 2 Birmingham 3

  • FBD said: Under 2.5 Goals @ 4/6 - LOST

Both teams' had 'low Goals' stats going in to this game and it was
looking good for another 'Under' game with the score at 1-0 after an
hour's play. However there were 4 goals in the last 30 minutes.

Man City 2 Chelsea 1

  • FBD said: Over 11 Corners @ 4/5 - WON

Our highest-rated stats bet of the weekend came good - there were 15
corners
in the game, landing all 'Over' bets on the Total Corners
(Over 10.5, Over 11 and Over 12 options were available with
different bookies).

100% of Man City home games have gone Over 10.5 Corners now, and so
have 7 out of 8 Chelsea away games. In fact 86% of all City's league
games and 80% of all Chelsea games have paid out on Over 10.5
Corners bets - strong trends to follow.

More big games this week...

Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool are in all Champions League
action this week (final Group games Tues and Wed). Then we've got
another blockbuster Premier League weekend to look forward to -
including these 3 live on TV:

Stoke v Wigan
Man Utd v Aston Villa
Liverpool v Arsenal

There are 10 games in all over Saturday and Sunday. I'll be in touch
again on Friday with a look at all the standout stats and bets for
the weekend...
