In Football Betting Data today:

- The bookies are getting worried...
It's a bit of a quiet week in the Premier League, with FA Cup games

Hull on Saturday - and then 8 games over Tuesday and Wednesday night
next week.
There are some strong trends on show for tonight's games - read on

with you, after one of our members had a run-in with the bookies...
First up though, the games at the Emirates and at Anfield.

Last Sunday afternoon Bolton played Arsenal at the Reebok Stadium,
and for that one I flagged up the Over 2.5 Goals stats and Arsenal's
strong corner-winning record. The game finished 2-0 to Arsenal with
the Gunners also winning the corner count, 4-2. For tonight's
reverse fixture at the Emirates, it looks like the bookies are
expecting more of the same...
-
90% of Arsenal home games have paid out on Over 2.5 Goals bets
this season. That option is a best-price 8/13 (1.62) with Totesport
-
Arsenal have won the Most Corners in 9 out of 10 home games -
but Bet365 have given them a massive -6 Corner Handicap to beat
tonight. That bet would only have paid out a winner in 3 out of 10
games
The Match Result and Form stats highlight a better option for us
tonight...
Arsenal have won 8 out of 10 home games so far, scoring 30 goals and
conceding 9. They've won 5 of those 8 games 'To Nil' - and 100% of
them by more than 1 goal...
In fact 12 of Arsenal's 14 Premier League wins this season have been
by more than 1 goal (85%) - including the 2-0 win at Bolton just
last weekend.
- Arsenal have beaten Bolton 7 times in a row in all competitions
Bolton are the only team in the Premier League (and the entire
Football League, for that matter) to have not kept a 'clean sheet'
so far this season. While Arsenal have found the back of the net in
9 out of 10 games at the Emirates Stadium and in 19 out of 21 games
overall.
Arsenal are just 2/9 (1.22) to beat Bolton tonight. But you can get
8/11 (1.73) for them to win by more than 1 goal.
Liverpool v Tottenham

Liverpool's season got off on the wrong foot with a 2-1 defeat at
Tottenham on the opening day - 20 games later and the Reds find
themselves chasing the likes of Spurs for the all-important 4th
place Champions League qualification spot...
This is a big one then, and the Match Result looks tough to call.
However the Corners stats highlight a bet on the home team.
-
Liverpool have won the Most Corners in 9 out of 10 home games
(90%) - and in 71% of Premier League games overall
-
Tottenham have only won the Most Corners in 3 out of 10 away
games (30%) - and in 9 out of 21 games in total (43%)
-
Last season: Liverpool won the Most Corners in 84% of games at
Anfield - Tottenham won the Most Corners in 47% of away games
Liverpool's home Corners Margin this season is a huge +6.1 Corners.
While Tottenham are conceding approx. 1 corner more than they win (-
0.9 Corners Margin).
Liverpool won the corner count 7-1 in their last home game (v
Wolves). And Tottenham were out-cornered 4-2 in their last away game
(v Fulham).
The stats point to Liverpool winning the Most Corners in this game -
and that bet will be available with a handful of bookies tonight.
The bookies are getting worried...
One of our members got in touch with an interesting story this week.
He'd had a call from Bet365, who just happened to be wondering how
he 'went about compiling' the sports bets he was placing with
them...
Maybe he had picked too many winners for their liking recently. But
our man was not about to spill the beans - far from it. Seizing the
chance to lead the bookies up the garden path, he simply told them
he and his mates had picked out the bets over a pint 'down the pub.'
Nice work!
