Easter weekend results - 3 out of 5 winners
Chelsea are odds-on favourites to win the Premier League after
winning 2-1 away at 2nd-place Man Utd at the weekend...
The Blues are 2 points ahead of United and are now 8/13 to be
crowned 2009/10 champions. Our standout stats for the big game gave
us a winning bet - here are the full results from last Thursday's
email.
Man Utd 1 Chelsea 2
- FBD said: Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 - WON
It stayed 1-0 to Chelsea for a long time - but 2 goals in the last
10 minutes landed the Over 2.5 Goals bet in the big game at Old
Trafford. That bet was now paid out a winner in 5 of both team's
last 6 league games.
Bolton 0 Aston Villa 1
Total Corners = 14.
- FBD said: Look for 'Over' Total Corners bets - WON
Villa continue to be one of the best bets for 'high corners' games -
their last 7 games have all now gone Over 10.5 Corners. That option
paid out at 48/100 with Expekt.com. Other bookies offered Over 11
and Over 12 Corners bets at bigger prices, and they all paid out a
winner, too.
Everton 2 West Ham 2
- FBD said: Everton -1.0 Asian Handicap @ 74/100 - LOST
West Ham are fighting to avoid relegation and managed to upset the
form book a little on Sunday afternoon. Everton had won their last 7
home games - and West Ham had lost their last 4 away. Everton twice
led, but West Ham grabbed a point with an 87th minute equaliser.
Portsmouth 0 Blackburn 0
- FBD said: Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 - LOST
Both teams has been involved in several high-scoring games in recent
weeks, but the goals dried up in this one. That was the first
goalless game at Fratton Park this season.
Fulham 2 Wigan 1
Total Corners = 9.
- FBD said: Look for 'Under' Total Corners bets - WON
Under 10.5 Corners paid out at 4/5 with Expekt.com. Other bookies
including Bet365 and William Hill paid out on Under 10 Corners.
There have now been 10 or less corners in 5 of the last 6 Fulham
home games and in 5 of the last 6 Wigan away games.
Top Scorers score again!
We've had a good run of players highlighted for Anytime Scorer and
First Goalscorer bets over the last couple of weeks. And 3 of the 5
players I mentioned in Thursday's email found the back of the net
again over the weekend...
Man Utd 1 Chelsea 2 - Didier Drogba
- Drogba got what turned out to be the winning goal in Chelsea's
2-1 win at Man Utd. He has now scored 10 goals in 9 league games
since the turn of the year. Drogba was 13/8 to Score Anytime.
Sunderland 3 Tottenham 1 - Darren Bent
- The Stadium of Light is the place to back Bent to score - 16
of his 22 Premier League goals this season have now been scored at
home.
- Bent was 2/1 to Score Anytime and 6/1 to be the First
Goalscorer against Tottenham - and he landed both bets in the 1st
minute of the game! He went on to miss 2 penalties, missing out on
the chance to score a hat-trick against his former club.
Burnley 1 Manchester City 6 - Carlos Tevez
- City were 3-0 up at Burnley within 7 minutes on Saturday - and
Tevez got the 3rd goal. He now has 20 Premier League goals this
season and 11 goals in his last 11 games in all competitions. Tevez
was 11/10 to Score Anytime.
I'll continue to highlight the 'scorers to follow' every weekend in
your Friday emails.
This week's games...
There are 6 Premier League games this weekend - 2 on Saturday and 4
on Sunday. The FA Cup semi finals also take place with 2 all-Premier
League games at Wembley, Aston Villa v Chelsea on Saturday and
Tottenham v Portsmouth on Sunday.
I'll be back in touch on Friday with the standout stats and
recommended bets for the weekend...
