Last week - 7 out of 9 winners and a 4/1 Double

Monday 26th April 2010

In your Football Betting Data update today:

  • 7 out of 9 winners from the stats last week...
  • Man Utd make it 10 in a row, Villa make it 11 in a row...
  • A 4/1 Double at Wolves...

The end of the season usually throws up some tricky games and some
bizarre results - but the 'stats and trends' did us proud last week
with 7 out of 9 winning bets since last Monday...

  • I also flagged up the 'dead rubber' between Wolves and
    Blackburn
at the weekend. The game ended in a 1-1 draw,
and if you followed the 4 bets I mentioned you'd have landed
    3 winning bets, a 4/1 Double and a 7/5 Double - see below

Here are the results from the games featured in Friday's email. For

Man Utd make it 10 in a row, Villa make it 11 in a row...

Man Utd 3 Tottenham 1

  • FBD said: 'Over 2.5 Goals' @ 4/6 - WON

Man Utd kept up their title challenge with a couple of late goals on
Saturday. Bets on Over 2.5 Goals have now paid out a winner in the
last 10 games in a row at Old Trafford, and in 8 of the last 9
Tottenham games.

Hull 0 Sunderland 1

First Goal Time = 7mins, D.Bent (Sunderland).

  • FBD said: 'Time of First Goal - 1st to 30th Minute' @ 17/20 -
    WON

This bet was landed after just 7 minutes. Bets on the First Goal to
come Before 28th Minute have now paid out in 10 of the last 11 Hull
games and in 9 of the last 11 Sunderland games.

That result means Hull are relegated, barring a mathematical miracle
- they would need to win both their remaining games, hope West Ham
lose both theirs, and in the process make a 23-goal gap in the Goal
Difference. As Gary Lineker said on Match of the Day - "It ain't
gonna happen."

Aston Villa 1 Birmingham 0

Total Corners = 12.

  • FBD said: 'Over 12.5 Corners' @ Evens - LOST

A near miss here, just 1 corner kick away from a winning bet. Aston
Villa
remain a great team for 'Over' corners bets - there have now
been at least 12 corners in each of their last 11 games in a row,
and in 17 of their last 18 games.

  • Most bookies set the line high at 'Over 12' for Sunday's game.
But if you got 'Over 10.5' or 'Over 11.5 Corners,' you'd have back a
    winner.

Everton 2 Fulham 1

  • FBD said: Everton to keep a 'Clean Sheet' @ 5/6 - LOST

Fulham scored for the first time in 8 away Premier League games,
taking the lead in the 36th minute through Erik Nevland.

Chelsea 7 Stoke 0

Corners = Chelsea 7 Stoke 0.

First Card = Glenn Whelen, 59 mins, Stoke.

  • FBD said: Chelsea '-4 Corner Handicap' @ 7/10 - WON

  • FBD said: 'First Team Carded - Stoke' @ 8/13 - WON

That's not a typing error - the Corners score really was the same as
the Match Result, a 7-0 hammering dished out by Chelsea to go back
to the top of the Premier League. Chelsea '-5 Corner Handicap' bets
also paid out a winner. The Blues have now won the Most Corners in
78% of home games.

Stoke received the First Card and the Most Booking Points, getting 3
yellow cards (30 pts) - and Chelsea didn't get any. Chelsea have
only picked up the First Card in 1 of their last 12 games at
Stamford Bridge - while Stoke have now received the First Card in a
high 76.5% of away games.

A 4/1 Double at Wolves...

Wolves 1 Blackburn 1

We didn't get the 8/1 'Correct Score' on a 0-0 draw - but all the
other options I highlighted for this end-of-season 'dead rubber'
would've paid out...

  • Under 3.5 Cards @ 8/15 - WON
  • Under 2.5 Goals @ 8/13 - WON
  • Draw @ 23/10 - WON
  • 0-0 Correct Score @ 8/1 - LOST

Wolves' last 8 home games have now paid out on 'Under 2.5 Goals'
bets, and they've drawn 5 of their last 7 Premier League games.
Wolves' last 7 games at Molineux and 10 of their last 12 overall
have also been Under 3.5 Cards (there was just 1 yellow card - 10
Booking Points - in Saturday's game). Blackburn have now drawn 4 of
their last 7 games.

I pointed out several options for this game, including a 4/1 Double
on the 'Draw' and 'Under 3.5 Cards,' and a 7/5 Double on 'Under 3.5
Cards' and 'Under 2.5 Goals' with Bet365. Both those Doubles were
successful.
