Four ways to cash-in on the Premier League this weekend

It's round 3 of the Premier League season this weekend - and I've
got your first 'recommended bets' for you today...

First up a quick update on Monday night's result - Man City beat
Liverpool 3-0, and continued their 84% trend from last season for
winning the Most Corners in home games. Man City 5 corners,
Liverpool 4 corners.

Here are the top trends for the weekend's games. I've included my
'recommended bets' below - the best options for each game, based on
the stats. But do remember to stake sensibly as we're still in the
early stages of the season.

Manchester United v West Ham United

Sat 28th Aug, 5.30pm - Live on ESPN
Ref: M.Clattenburg

• Last season bets on Over 2.5 Goals paid out in 84% of Man Utd
  home games and 58% of West Ham away games

• So far this season 2 out of 2 Man Utd games and both West Ham
  games have also gone Over 2.5 Goals

The bookies make Over 2.5 Goals an odds-on chance for Saturday's
game, at a best price of 1/2 (1.50) with Skybet.

• Man Utd won the Most Corners in 79% of home games last season,
  and have won the Most Corners in both their games so far this season

• West Ham were out-cornered in 74% of away games last season.
  In West Ham's first away game this season, Aston Villa won 9 corners
  more than them.
  

Double up on the stats...

At Bet365 a Double on Over 2.5 Goals and Man Utd '-5.5 Asian
Handicap Corners' pays out at 6/4 (2.50) if successful.

Bolton Wanderers v Birmingham City

The stats point to the Total Corners markets for this game...

• Last season 63% of Bolton home games and 68% of Birmingham
  away games paid out on Over 10.5 Corners bets, with both teams'
  games averaging 11 or more corners

Both Bolton games have had 12 or more corners so far this season.
And there were 16 corners in Birmingham's last game, against
Blackburn.

Aston Villa v Everton

Sun 29th Aug, 4pm - Live on Sky Sports 1

I've highlighted Aston Villa's high corners trend in both rounds of
games so far, and bets on Over 10.5 Corners and Over 11 Corners have
paid out in both Vila games to date (Total Corners results of 23
corners and 12).

• Last season Over 10.5 Corners bets paid out in 79% of Villa
  home games, with games averaging 13.0 Total Corners.

• Everton away games averaged 11.2 Total Corners last season

Bwin offer the best odds for another Over 10.5 Corners game this
weekend, at 67/100. Most other bookies are betting on higher totals
though, such as Over 12 Corners.

Aston Villa averaged +1.5 corners more than opponents at home last
season, and won 16 corners in their first home game of 2010/11
against West Ham (16-7). Everton have won 3 Corners For in both
their games so far. The stats point to Villa winning the Most
Corners.

Away from the TV games there's one more fixture where the 'top
trends' can't be ignored this weekend...

Chelsea v Stoke

Sat 28th Aug, 3pm

• Chelsea received the First Card in just 15% of games at
  Stamford Bridge last season (3 out of 19 home games), and picked up
  the Most Booking Points in just 10% (2 games)

• Stoke on the other hand received the First Card in 74% of away
  games and the Most Booking Points in 74% (14 out of 19 games)

Those Stoke trends have continued in both games so far in the new
season.

The bookies are on to this game though - Stoke are a best price of
just 2/5 (1.40) with William Hill to receive the First Card and 4/9
(1.44) to be the team with the Most Booking Points.

Chelsea have won both games 6-0 so far and last season they beat
Stoke 7-0. Stoke have lost both games so far, and with Chelsea's
phenomenal scoring record in mind, a bet on them to win the game by
another big margin looks the best option with the bookies...

Double up on the stats...

At Bet365 a Double on Chelsea -2 Handicap and Stoke to receive the
First Card pays out at 6/4 (2.50) if successful.
