The new Premier League season is now just two weeks away, and it'll

Two weeks 'til kick off!
The action kicks off on Saturday 14th August, with all 20 Premier
League teams in action that weekend. I'll be writing to you before
then with a look at the opening weekend's games. Every week of the
season we'll be latching on to the trends that produce winning bets
time and time again - in 70%, 80%... even 90% of games.

Top Scorers, Emile Heskey - and a pre-season 'bonus'
for you...
The bookies seem to have got it in for Emile Heskey this summer...
After drawing a blank in front of goal for England at the World Cup,
Skybet are betting on Heskey's total Premier League goals for Aston
Villa this season. They've set the bar for the striker at... Under
or Over 3.5 Goals.
And Paddy Power think pretty much every striker in the Premier
League will outscore Emile this season. They've put up a 'To score
more goals than Emile Heskey' market, with all but 3 of the 20
players on the list odds-on to score more goals than him.
Last season Heskey scored 3 goals in 31 Premier League appearances
for Villa. Paddy Power's market requires Heskey to play at least 10
games this season for any bets to stand...

Everton striker Yakubu is 1/2 to outscore Heskey. Last season
Yakubu managed 5 goals in 25 appearances. -
Blackburn's Jason Roberts is also a 1/2-shot. Last season he
got 5 goals from 29 Premier League games. -
David Ngog of Liverpool is 8/15 to find the back of the net
more times than Heskey. Last season Ngog got 5 Premier League goals
from 24 games.
The real way to cash-in on the 'Top Scorers' this season
As the stats show, none of those players exactly lit up the Top
Scorers charts this season - yet the bookies make them all big
favourites to get more goals than Emile Heskey.
Even Emile Heskey's Aston Villa team-mate Brad Friedel is on the
list to outscore him... and he plays in goal! However, Paddy Power
do make Friedel 1,000/1 to land that bet.
Those 'Specials' bets are a bit of fun - but there is money to be
made from betting on the Premier League 'Top Scorer' markets this
season...
