Weekend results, shock score-lines - and midweek games
Monday 14th December 2009
In you Football Betting Data update today:
- A crazy weekend in the Premier League…
- Last week's winners…
- Games on Tuesday and Wednesday night…
It was a rollercoaster of a weekend in the Premier League…
Only 1 of the 'Big 4' teams won, there were only 1 out of 10 'home
wins,' 2 games ended in 3-3 draws, 2 players got booked for diving –
and Wigan defender Maynor Figueroa scored from the half-way line!
With all that going on it's no wonder the Match of the Day pundits were
talking about 'coupon stoppers' – both Chelsea and Man Utd failed to
win at home, and there were 6 draws.
The good news is that 'the stats' are pretty much shock-proof. We came
out of a tricky weekend with 4 out of 7 winners (a slight profit from
level stakes), with Corners and Goals bets paying out.
There are 8 games to look at on Tuesday and Wednesday this week – more
on those in tomorrow's email – followed by 10 more games at the
weekend. Plenty of opportunities to cash-in on the 70, 80 and 90%+
trends showing on our website…

Last week's results
Here are the results from the games covered in my Friday email last
week.
Chelsea 3 Everton 3
FBD said:
- Over 2.5 Goals @ 8/13 – WON
A surprise result and a surprise score-line here – but the Goals stats
highlighted a winning bet for us. Bets on Over 2.5 Goals have now paid
out in 75% of Chelsea home games and 75% of Everton away games.
Bolton 3 Man City 3
Total Corners = 14.
First Card = C.Bellamy (Man City).
Booking Points = Bolton 30 pts Man City 45 pts.
FBD said:
- Over 10.5 Corners @ 3/5 – WON
- 1st Card – Bolton @ 19/20 – LOST
- Most Booking Points – Bolton @ 13/10 (with saver on Bookings - Draw @ 3/1) – LOST
Plenty of Goals – and Corners – here. Man City in particular are a
consistent 'high Corners' team, with 75% of away games and 100% of home
games going Over 10.5 Corners this season. There were 14 corners in
this game, landing all 'Over' options with the bookies (Over 10, Over
11 and Over 12 Corners).
Both the First Card and Most Booking Points stats went down though,
mainly due to Man City striker Craig Bellamy being sent off (without
actually 'fouling' anyone). He was booked in the 11th minute for
dissent to the Referee, Mark Clattenburg (that was the First Card of
the game). And Bellamy got his marching orders in the 2nd half for what
seemed like a bit of a harsh decision – his 2nd yellow card was for
'diving.'
Sunderland 1 Portsmouth 1
First Card: L.Cana (Sunderland)
FBD said:
- 1st Card – Sunderland @ 29/20 – WON
Sunderland's Lorik Cana received the First Card in the 25th minute.
First Card bets on Sunderland have now paid out a winner in 7 out of 8
games at the Stadium of Light – a high 87.5% strike rate for a home
team (the Premier League home average is half that, at 43%).
Tottenham 0 Wolves 1
FBD said:
- Tottenham -1 Match Handicap @ 4/5 – LOST
Another shock score-line here, with Wolves pulling off a 1-0 away win
(you'd have got double-figure odds for that result).
Birmingham 1 West Ham 0
FBD said:
- Birmingham to beat West Ham @ 23/20 or 11/10 – WON
This was the only home win of the weekend in the Premier League. Our
form stats showed Birmingham were on the up – and West Ham were on the
slide. The Blues have now won 4 games in a row and sit in 1st place on
the Premier League 'Form Guide' table (based on last 6 games).
I'll be back in touch tomorrow with a look at the midweek games – check
your email (or the Latest Tips page on the website) on Tuesday afternoon.
Best wishes,
Matt Nesbitt
